DUET

Duet is a distinctive architectural project comprising two carefully designed homes in Ōrākei, overlooking the basin. One residence has been created for a private client, while the second is scheduled for release to the market in late 2026. Each home spans approximately 380 square metres and features five bedrooms, a dedicated guest wing, and a basement-level cinema room connected to an outdoor pool. The mid-level living areas extend seamlessly onto a balcony that captures expansive views, while a sculptural curved staircase and integrated lift connect all three levels.

Defined by a modern and sculptural architectural language, the façade represents one of the studio’s most ambitious and experimental designs to date. Significant time was dedicated to refining the front elevation, with every curve intentionally shaped to correspond directly to the internal spaces. This approach reflects a commitment to balancing form and function, ensuring the architecture feels purposeful without becoming overstated.

The name “Duet” references the complementary relationship between the two homes. Drawing inspiration from contemporary duplex developments, the design explores how paired residences can strengthen one another architecturally, creating a more cohesive and impactful presence than if they stood alone.
